Dressing for Sport: Pittsburgh Pirates

I wore the above last night to watch the Pirates get shut out. :( But at least there remain Pittsburgh teams still fun and uncomplicated to support as a fan.
Pittsburgh P skyline t-shirt from Tweek Clothing
A.P.C. button skirt in red (available in blue here; budget here)
Old Navy long sleeve t shirt underneath (not shown)
Levis Jean Jacket in my arms (similar here)
Hue tights
Chloe ballerina flats (similar here; budget here)

I almost wore this:
But I couldn't find my PA Black Flag shirt. I guess it is in the laundry?

Although we lost, our seats were on the Club Suite Level, which was a first for me! And in some ways the novelty of exploring the Club and its various different eateries made up for the loss.

Here's a goofus photo of us (you can see how uncrowded that game was):
Scenes from the North Side (across the street from PNC Park):
Cross posted from my tumblog but still worthy of inclusion. What do you sport for baseball games?

I hate to admit this, but I've never been to a baseball game.

Haha you shouldn't hate to admit it! I doubt I would go so often if I didn't partner with such a huge fan of the sport. They great thing about the Pittsburgh games is that they are often full of silly gimmicks. I won a free tshirt last night, for example.

sounds like a fun night (even if they got shut out) We are APC red skirt twinz! But I have no idea how to wear mine--love your outfit!

Love the color palette in the top outfit. It's been forever since I've been to a baseball game. Fashion is my favorite sport these days -- I know, I'm such a dork. :)

I love the casual colorblock-y vibe to your game outfit, and the skyline design on the shirt is just lovely Jess! :) LOL, I couldn' say what I sport to games since like Tien I've never been to one! I am a bit anti-sports :)

Sharon, that skirt with an AA deep v-neck tshirt comprised my summer uniform last year! I imagine I will probably roll similarly this year too. I didn't reach for it in winter, much. Which is weird cause the skirt is wool, if I remember correctly, so that is totally winterizeable. Oh well! I hope you find some ways to wear it. It is so simple and cute, and yields many compliments.

Carole, and goldenmeans, thank you for commenting on the color blocking and palette! It might be a condition of living in Pittsburgh, but sports fandom is fairly ubiquitous here. It can be comforting and unifying for the population (at least when the individual athletes aren't taking gross advantage of their positions of power/access/stardom to abuse, assault, or hurt women they encounter) regardless of the demography and lifestyle differences.

Hello! I found your blog because I was searching for the P skyline t-shirt! I saw a guy wearing it the other day and desperately want it, but I can't find it on Tweek anymore! Did you get it a long time ago? I'm just wondering if all hope is lost. I may try to contact them.

Thanks!

Hi Addi Twigg! Welcome to my blog. I bought the Tweek Clothing shirt last summer but I would definitely contact them. They are super nice and might be able to do another run if they determine there is enough interest. Good luck with it!
