Tippi in action

This is not the most flattering photo of me. It was taken after a long and delicious dinner which is part of why my lips are stained an odd color from too much wine. I'm also making a goofy face from too much of a strong cocktail. But I wanted to share a photo of the Tippi in action. As you can see I have decided to keep it and this was its maiden voyage outside of my house. My inner kid enjoys how this dress moves especially if I descend quickly down a staircase. It floats! Thank goodness for my ever-present rotation of bike shorts (that assist in my remaining modest AND evading the dreaded thigh chub-rub). Apologies for not posting this last night as I said I would.

There's a sale today at Anthropologie. Be sure to check out Effortless Anthropologie for the full list of sale items and second cuts! By the way, Saks took a second cut today too.

Jess you look lovely and I'm glad you kept the dress - it looks beautiful. Oh, and I think it's great you sport bike shorts under dresses!

Thank you for this gem "Thank goodness for my ever-present rotation of bike shorts (that assist in my remaining modest AND evading the dreaded thigh chub-rub)." makes me feel so much better.

This is a huge problem for me and am so glad you mentioned it. I finally found a pair of very thin 'biker short' style underwear that I can wear under skirts at Macy's and now I'm wearing skirts for the first time in many years.

Oooh, the Tippi!  What a pretty little dress on you.  The colour is just divine.  I like how you paired it with those bright little flats!  You and Chris look too cute together, you make such a lovely couple.

I love the Aqua flats with the Tippi. You look like you enjoyed the evening out.   Like you, I wear long underwear under most of my dresses.  It definitely adds security and comfort.  Especially on Black car seats when it's 130 degress in my car.

I don't think you look bad at all, you look happy. I love the dress. It looks like a fun dress to wear. I know what you mean about movement. I just love wearing dresses and skirts that billow around you while you walk.

Haha I am glad there are others out there. It is my favorite trick. For a while I used unscented deodorant which worked on days that weren't too hot. But the shorts are the ultimate solution. I found the ones I wear at Wal-Mart of all places.

I might stock up on a few more pairs in case they ever stop making them. They run kind of big. I wear the mediums.

They're just simply cotton shorts that allow me to wear skirts and dresses in the summer without chafing and without feeling like I'm about to show the world my world. :)

Against all reason, I have decided to treat my bright flats as neutrals.

And I linked them below but I have stocked up on these from Walmart of all places:

They're my summertime go-to garment for underneath skirts and dresses.
