Rodarte for Target

While I found the Anna Sui for Target stuff to be less than thrilling in person, at least for the price, I was curious to see what Target's upcoming Rodarte collaboration would bring. I wonder if my Target will even carry Rodarte? We didn't get McQueen.

Anyway, today a bunch of photos from the collection leaked. It is set to be released during the holiday shopping season.

As a media scholar, I am always fascinated by the ease with which information can be unsecured via technologies. Target is apparently asking bloggers to remove the photos. I doubt I'll end up on their radar so I figured I'd see just how comprehensive their attempts will be to police this security breach.

What do you think? Will you be buying anything? The lace tights and the yellow lace cardigan with dress look the most appealing to me, personally. I like the black pleated skirt, too.

I'd be so surprised (and paranoid) if Target found you and asked you take these down. As far as the collection? I have always been tremendously disappointed by the collections. I have a skirt from the Alice Temperley collection and a shirt from Libertine. That's it. So I don't have high hopes for this collection.

Hm. Hm, hm, hm. I'm not sure. I love me some Rodarte and I'm slightly intrigued; I'm just not sure how I can translate this stuff into "everyday" wear here in Colorado.

i'm glad you posted! these photos are getting removed everywhere so i couldn't find anything about the collection. not sure if i'll buy anything- i'm usually underwhelmed with the stuff in person (with the exception of thakoon). but i have high hopes for rodarte. i really like that dress in the middle of the 2nd row. ~joelle

astylizedhysteria, I know! I would be too which is sort of why the test is fun. My blog is small and low profile enough that I am sure it won't get onto their radar. The photos have been removed from many sites!

Chloe, I am interested in the lace pieces. Though I agree that "everyday" wear in Pittsburgh might not have stylistic room for most of the entire "looks."

Becca, I really like the shade of yellow.

Joelle, I took am usually underwhelmed by the collections but who knows.

Thank you all for reading!

hey! i did a post too! I've been keeping up with all the updates and searching the web for pictures. i think these are safe for now because they were released by refinery29 and seventeen. I think everyone is in love with the mustard yellow outfit and that cardigan is something i'm definitely gonna fight for come dec. 20th!

I like the black pleated skirt too, but nothing else really fits my style. I may change my mind once I see the stuff IRL though, you never know

I love Rodarte, but I have to be honest I wasnt really happy about them ending up at Target. I havent been too impressed in the fruitation of the collections. But I don't pass judgement until I see it in person. So wait and see.
