I find myself wishing every week was a themed dressing week so that getting dressed would always be so easy. Thanks to the ladies at Have a Cute Day for declaring Floral Week! There were a million things I wanted to wear today but I had a meeting for which I dressed fairly staid out of necessity. Despite this, I had these photos of this Outnet supersale dress that I ordered and returned because it is not a good fit.
See by Chloe Rosette Dress (similar here)
Marc by Marc Jacobs captoe mary jane pumps (similar here and here)
I have grown so fond of the See by Chloe prints and quirky details. I don't think I've been this enamored of a line since I first got into MBMJ years ago. Though not all of the dresses are easy to find (at least for me since no brick and mortar stores in the Pittsburgh area carry it as far as I know), they are usually worth the hunt. In the hunt I also have taken risks with online purchases, when knowledge of how a specific garment fits and its quality are unknown variables. I've had some luck with ebay but that is even larger a gamble because I don't have the option to return. I loved this dress for its bright colors. Unfortunately, it is not the most flattering shape but I think the details are great.
And a closeup of the shoes:
Despite my meeting, I got to wear florals once I got home. And although I haven't had time for photos yet, I will take some and post them tomorrow. Happy Floral Week!

that dress is amazing on you!! you find the best dresses....
LOVE those shoes! Two-tone cap toes like that are so lovely.
I was wondering if I could elicit your opinion about your MBMJ Huge Hillier hobo? I'm having trouble deciding between a regular-size Hillier or the Huge and would love to know what you like/dislike about your Huge Hillier.
Cheers! =)
1. I have no idea what you mean by that dress is not the most flattering. It looks fantastic! Plus, not many people could wear such vibrant colors so well, but you do.
2. Please tell me you wear size 7 shoes, so I can steal those MJ mjs from you. Seriously.
I really like that dress. I like the print, I like the fit, and it just makes me happy to look at it. Your dress wardrobe is awesome.
You have some really beautiful clothes. The print is lovely and those shoes are so to die for!
Gretchen, thank you! I actually didn't keep this one. But because I can't get SBC here, I often have to order something and return it if it doesn't work out.
Kaity, thank you for the compliment! I really love the big size of the hillier but I am into big bags. The regular size is plenty big and a girlfriend of mine has one. I guess the thing I like is the option to carry a lot of stuff BUT a big limitation is that it is so big, stuff gets lost like a cavern. It is a good thing it has a key ring on which to clip my keys cause otherwise I'd be fishing for them for forever every time. I like that the sling strap is long enough on the huge hillier to wear cross body. But I think it might be a bag that would overwhelm a petite and lithe figure. I am short but curvy so I think it balances out. Good luck picking!
Tien, You are too kind. I wear a 7.5 or 8. Occasionally but very rarely I can wear a 7. These shoes are 38 (closer to a 7.5 in mbmj which runs kind of small).
Desert Flower, thank you for the compliment. I liked how cheery and vibrant the print was!
Rad in Brooklyn, Thank you! Though I don't have this particular dress. I returned it, sadly.
WOW WOW WOW! this dress is fantastic! You have just redefined florals!
I adore your dress!

Thank you so much Kjrsten and Melanie!
Thanks Jess! I'm about your height and definitely way curvy myself, so I think the Huge size will be perfect. Despite the slight cavernous tendency (which happens with all big bags anyway) this sounds perfect for me. Thanks again for your input! =)
That dress is lovely - it looks beautiful on you!
Glad I could help, Kaity!
Thank you lulu thrives!
I am OBSESSED with exposed zippers right now and this dress is primo. So cute, so bright and wonderful. Great pick!
Kenzie, I love the edge a well-executed exposed zipper can bring to a dress! And this particular dress had one of the most detailed, tastefully executed exposed zips I've seen so far. Thank you for reading!
