My hardest working narcissist necklaces

When I was thinking about the hardest workers in my closet, it also made me evaluation which are my most clutch accessories and shoes. Although it goes against the price per wear theory of bargain dressing, I tend to avoid wearing my (relatively) fancier jewelry, day to day. Instead I always reach for these cute but reasonably priced initial necklaces. The left was from Anthro, and the right was a gift that came from Etsy. I wonder if I am too old to wear things emblazoned with my name or initials? Is it infantile? I would say, no. In fact, the only people I know with monogrammed towels, napkins, sheets, or barware are responsible, fancy adults.

And I really like name or initial pieces. For example, I love Anjali's name bracelet! A friend of mine is making me a morse code name necklace. I think that will be the perfect way to express myself (and arguably, my narcissism) in secret.

Oh, and I have the same initial necklace from Anthro but chose the initial of Dr. Love, just for that extra bit of gush!!

Jess, loved the words of encouragement you left on my blog. It meant a lot to hear your perspective on how to handle change and it meant a lot to read your thoughts. Thank you.

I can't wait to see the morse code necklace, but I think your initial necklaces are great everyday wear and can be layered with others if necessary or if it suits you.

OMG, I love the idea of a morse code necklace!! Must see it once you get it.

I own an initial necklace too. I think it's a pretty outfit accent. I also have some silly variations, like a necklace I bought in high school with my horse's name (Splash) spelled out.

NO! I have a tiffany's initial necklace that I fight myself not to wear every single day. Love both of these!

i tend to wear my less expensive jewelry more often too (actually, i don't really have fancy stuff to speak of... but i'm usually in some jewelry from the thrift store). i agree with you- momograms = preppy in the good, fancy way. i like initial/name things as well, stemming from an episode of the wonder years when kevin and winnie exchange ID bracelets. can't wait to see your morse code necklace!
