Scalloped Stripes Dress Review
The Scalloped Stripes dress from Anthropologie is so so so cute. Its details really shine in person. With optimism and naivety, I grabbed my pre-pregnancy size medium in the blue colorway and it was (duh) snug. I also found it to be a little short. This was exacerbated by the snugness. The torso of the dress is lined but I could see see the white bra I wore that day through the dress. This is easily solved with nude undergarments. The sleeves and bust were tight but it is hard to say if that is from my own body's current status or the garment itself. I do think otherwise this dress runs very true to size. It is quite soft cotton fabric, making it fairly casual looking in person. But the stripes are actually an adorable ric rac ribbon trim.
I do believe a large would have been perfect on my current body and I think it would last me through the end of the summer. I didn't have time to try it but I do have a giftcard burning a hole in my pocket and might wind up with one of the three colorways of this cute dress.

Thanks for posting your review - it's very helpful. I didn't realize that this dress came in three different colors. It's going to be hard to pick one because I love all three.
I bought this dress in the red color-way as soon as the non-Petite sizes of it hit the website. I went with Medium (my usual letter size -- I'm an 8 on top), though I think I definitely could've gone with the Large since the fabric is rather thin. I was a bit disappointed to find the scalloped stripes were tan/light-brown, *not* white as it appears in the online picture. Still a cute dress, but lacking the candy-cane/nautical look that had drawn me to it in the first place...
I just love this look. So perfect for these summer days. Navy stripes are such a classic look.
