Christmas Eve Outfit of the Seven Fishes Dinner
Every year my cousins Natalie and Greg graciously open their home to the whole family to host the feast of the seven fishes. My Aunt Sylvia makes most of the incredible, salty, delicious, sea-themed food. Chris and I look so forward to eating, drinking, and being merry with the extended relatives we see far too rarely. This year in particular, I was excited to share the blurb.com book I made with photos from the wedding.
When I plan out my outfit, I always try to pick something feminine and cute but also something in which I feel comfortable sitting on the floor (since seats are at a premium when you have a large Italian family). This year I opted for a recent repeat. My Sugar and Cream dress from Anthropologie with the J. Crew rosette pullover. To make it a little less girlie (and a little more practical on the snowy sidewalks of Wexford) I paired it with my Rosegold Liz booties. My wax stamp initial necklace fit right in. As a topper I wore my old military inspired favorite from See by Chloé.

Ahh, you tempt me with this combo again Jess! You look so great in it and I want to wear it myself this way very soon! :) And a sea-food themed Christmas Eve feast sounds marvelous -- hope you had a great time!
That family feast sounds delicious!! I hope you had a lovely time.
That sweater looks so cute on you and I love how your wavy hair adds an extra level of femininity.
Jess, this is a great outfit, and I love that coat too. Wonderful!
Thanks goldenmeans! It is an Italian tradition that I believe is supposed to bring good luck upon those who feast on all seven. :)
fshnonmymind, Thank you for the compliment! I do think I was lucky to be having a good hair day. It's always exciting and also a little nerve-wracking to see relatives you see so rarely. I like to look my best if possible.
Carol, thanks so much! It is probably my favorite coat cause it is so warm!
