This fine frock is Dior couture which means it will never be: 1. made-to-measure for anyone who isn't a. famous b. rich; 2. available to me in any incarnation (hoping for a knock off isn't realistic); and 3. available for a price that is not insane. BUT it sure is lovely. It's old Hollywood glamour with minor contemporary touches (the drapey cowl, the asymmetrical hem, the ethereal layers and textures, the ombre effect). Plus SLEEVES! Oh how I love sleeves.

That is lovely. It's styled so perfectly with the hair and make-up too.
I too am totally obsessed with this dress! My favorite thing to come out of fashion week so far....tulle, nude, ombre, ice blue, cowls, poofy skirts...hittin' all my weak spots!
*sigh* I totally agree with you on this one. Last week I had a special post on my blog about the Haute Couture show of C. Dior....Galliano outdid himself....divine collection *sigh*

Dior has long had my heart, especially when they revisit the New Look he originated...
This was also my absolute favorite from the collection (I have the pic saved to my desktop as I type ;). I'm a sucker for ombre and full skirts and am also totally with you on the sleeves! There never seem to be enough dresses with sleeves...
Oooh, I was just going to mention its similarity (in color at least) to the Dreamy Wanderings dress!
