An unrelated aside: I was so saddened by the death of Adrienne Rich this week. What an amazing, revolutionary mind! I still assign "Compulsory Heterosexuality and Lesbian Existence" when it suits the curriculum. I was feeling especially weepy and inspired after reading her obit in the Times which included an incredible quote she made upon turning down the National Medal of Arts:
"Art means nothing if it simply decorates the dinner table of the power which holds it hostage."
I keep thinking of it. So I want to share that food for thought and thank her for her legacy. May she rest in peace and may the rest of us do what we can to enable a more equitable and less hateful world.

I don't know how I missed hearing about Rich's death. Thanks for mentioning it.
So great to put together a whole collection like this- after all, isn't this why we photograph our outfits, as an archive of ideas! So interesting to see the consistent silhouettes too- I couldn't pick a favorite as they all look pretty classic! I am terrible at missing the documenting part, whether they be repeats or newbies actually...
Sadly I didn't really know Adrienne Rich's work, but I'm quite interested in following up now.
the dotted dress is so cute!
and I loved to see these little photo-collection!

I love your outfits, and am glad you posted them. I'm not familiar with Adrienne Rich or her work, but wow, that bit you shared is really powerful. I'll have to find some time to get to know her better. It's always such a loss when we lose a great mind and beautiful soul.
