Diane von Furstenberg Sample Sale Haul: Your Advice Needed!

To hem or not to hem the sleeves: That is the question.

This Spring Shadows Greer DVF wrap dress was purchased on my behalf by a fashionism.org friend who was kind and generous enough to ship it to me after braving the legendary DVF sample sale! I love it and have long wanted a dress with this gorgeous all over print, but am torn about whether I should keep the bell sleeves as is, or hem them into a 3/4 length (for more seasonless wearability).

What do you think? (excusing the crudeness of the quick iPhone pics):

I can't return the dress, so any "both are epic fails" comments are moot. :)

i usually love bell sleeves, but i don't think they really work with this dress...i'd hem the sleeves to 3/4 length. great dress!!

I enjoy the print on them! Agree with grechen about the length of the sleeves. Think 3/4 would be flattering!

Thank you gretchen, dream sequins, endless vintage, sophiasharp, and erin for your input!!

Part of me kind of likes the mod 60s vibe of the bell sleeve, but I think I am going to go with "hem" after hearing your advice, because it will make the dress more wearable in the summer (when I think this particular print is most appropriate). And as gretchen said, while a bell sleeve is fun, it isn't necessarily the right vibe for this style of dress.

i actually really like the bell sleeves, but what do i know. :) that being said, the faux-hemmed version looks great too.
