Anna Sui Peter Pan Dress For Day?

A few weeks ago, I found this classic Anna Sui dress on ebay for a steal. I already owned it, but in a smaller size (bought from ebay a while back). I ended up grabbing the bigger size anyway.  The smaller size was just too short to wear comfortably/with modesty. This one is a generously proportioned size 8, and a great deal longer than the 4. When it arrived I immediately began wearing it. And I decided it was the perfect piece to implement in a Halloween costume. This year I was Wednesday Addams. But after having worn it as a costume, it has become difficult for me to view it as anything else. What do you think? Is it too absurd for day?

BTW, I am selling the smaller, shorter version on my shop blog, where you can see just how short the smaller size was on me. Check it out here.

However, I am sick in bed with a stomach flu, so take my delerious rantings with a grain of salt.

ahahaha! Serious lol. I know you are right but I am irrationally in love with the peter pan collar.

I can't wear it for like.. 99.9 % of life functions where I need to be taken seriously. This I realize. But hey maybe I can wear it for Thanksgiving?! xo

I disagree! I think this dress is super darling and reminds me of the Alexa Chung for Madewell dress with the Peter Pan collar. I think that you could get away with wearing it in the fall/winter with any of your gorgeous flats, and stills tay true to your aesthetics. This dress is very much in your style, and may not work to teach in (but I think you could definitely pull it off), but for the weekend or dinner with some interesting tights, you are good to go!

I'd say try and keep it with the short sleeves maybe? It is so lovely and simple- I am coming around to Peter Pan collars finally!

Maybe heels to give it more edge? It looks great on you. I'm tempted by the one you have for sale, but I have a tendency to look to girlish anyway!!

It has the potential to be very little girl, so I think it needs bitching up a bit to be more life appropriate. Heels or chunky boots would be great, some bracelets with edge like leather with the metal pyramids, throw over a military style jacket, that kind of thing.

I think you could totally wear it on a night out! I agree with most comments about using accessories to make it more grown up. You have an impeccable eye and I have no doubt that you can put together the perfect outfit with it!

Ah! enfin j'ai trouvé ce que je cherchais. Parfois, il faut autant d'efforts pour trouver, même minuscule élément d'information utile.

Really like the graphical design and navigation of the site, easy on the eyes and good content. other sites are just way too overflowing with adds.
